We Believe

We believe that all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. (II Timothy 3:16)

We believe in the one true and living God. Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord. (Deuteronomy 6:4)

We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus for the remission of sin. Through baptism we identify with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. (Acts 2:38)

We believe in the supernatural gifts of the spirit actively functioning in the church today. We believe in the callings of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers as the Lord wills. (1 Corinthians 12:7-11)

We believe in speaking in tongues as the spirit gives utterance. (Acts 2:4)

We believe in holiness; that by separating ourselves from the sinful nature of the flesh, we can offer a clean and holy temple unto the Lord. We believe in confessing our sins for forgiveness and cleansing. (Romans 12:1)

We believe in the regular gathering of God’s people in the local congregation and other gatherings for heartfelt prayer, expressive praise, biblical teaching, preaching, and fellowship. (Hebrews 10:25)

We believe in sharing Communion to remember the sacrifice of our Lord's body and blood. (Matthew 26:26)

We believe in the return of Jesus, when the dead and living in Christ will rise to meet Him in the air; in the literal second coming and rule of Christ upon the earth; in the final judgment, when all people shall receive their just reward in Heaven or Hell, and in the ultimate triumph of righteousness, when faithful believers shall inherit eternal life. (I Thessalonians 4)
